Welcome to Inchyra, in the heart of Perthshire

Inchyra House

Welcome to the Inchyra Estate in the heart of Perthshire in Scotland. Inchyra, family home of James and Caroline, Lord & Lady Inchyra, is a very special place and is the inspiration behind the varied businesses that are run here.

Inchyra Home was established in February 2016 to sell this exclusive collection of luxury home wares and accessories. Inchyra Home takes from the aesthetic of both the classic Regency Inchyra House and the rustic style of the award winning Byre at Inchyra (see below), and offers a style that bridges both the traditional and modern. As Caroline Inchyra says: "We first of all made these things for ourselves because we needed them or wanted them, so we know they're useful and we also know that they are beautifully made. It's lovely that we are now able to make them available to everyone".  Many of the designs are made using Inchyra's own linens and everything has been developed or sourced through a love of the best traditions in fabrics, materials and makers.

Fabric and interiors company Inchyra produces a range of highly specialised artisanal linens and wools, created by Caroline Inchyra. Inchyra fabrics are suitable for curtains and upholstery and are available through our website as well as a network of interior designers across the UK and the wider world. Inchyra fabrics have been described by Maude Smith of World of Interiors as "utterly beautiful".

The Byre at Inchyra was built in 1877 as the cattle byre (barn) for the Home Farm at Inchyra.  The Byre was refurbished during 2013 and opened its doors as a wedding and events venue in the summer of 2014. The Byre is considered to be one of the top wedding venues in the UK and this year was awarded UK & Ireland Wedding Venue of the Year in the DWHA Awards.

And between weddings, the Byre puts on its other hat - that of a music and arts venue. The Inchyra Arts Club puts on a programme of concerts and shows through the year - with everything from rock to folk to comedy to theatre. Since its launch in 2014 it has welcomed stars from around the world, including Gretchen Peters, KT Tunstall, Steve Forbert, Dr John Cooper Clark and Dougie Maclean.
